Description:
This artwork was created in collaboration with The Skincare Company. We wanted to evoke and celebrate women through this piece. We show here what we truly cherish about women. You can see water holes and women gathered around them. Waterholes are very important in Indigenous culture and often were used during birthing, for healing and cleansing. We have displayed coolamons next to some of the women, to symbolize birthing and children. We have incorporated eucalyptus flowers and leaves to represent knowledge women held on medicinal bush foods. The background is filled with clusters of dots throughout, to represent the many dreaming stories that are held within the land.
