Behind the name

The word Krubi was used in many accounts of Gundungurra stories. Krubi was strongly associated with incredible beauty and waratah dreaming. One recording talks of Krubi being given as a name to the most beautiful woman of the tribe, she would be the only one to hold her title, and once she passes away a new Krubi would be named. We love that Krubi stands for beauty and women, and named our store Krubi creative to reflect the beauty in art, our culture, and in women.
