This piece represents the importance of our earth. It signifies the different elements and layers that create and build up the ground. For aboriginal people the soil and its layers are very significant, food grows from it, we walk respectfully through it and use its colours and patterns to inspire many of our arts. It's a sacred gift we cherish in our culture.
